Straighten Your Smile the Clear Way
What is Clear Aligner Orthodontics?

Invisalign is a revolutionary orthodontic system that uses a series of
custom-made, clear plastic aligners to gently and gradually move your
teeth into their desired positions. Each aligner is designed using 3D
imaging software to fit precisely over your teeth and apply targeted
pressure to specific areas over time.

Whether you’re an adult seeking a professional smile makeover or
looking to improve your bite alignment, Invisalign can help you achieve
your ideal smile — without brackets, wires, or compromise.

1

You’ll receive a full series of aligners, each one slightly different from the last — designed to move your teeth incrementally.

2

Every 7–10 days (as directed by your dentist), you’ll progress to the next aligner in the series.

3

Aligners are worn for 22 hours per day — removed only for eating, drinking (anything except water), brushing, and flossing.

4

Over the course of treatment, your teeth gradually move into alignment without wires, brackets, or tightening appointments.

Candidate Suitability
Who can
benefit from
Invisalign?

Invisalign is ideal for patients with mild to moderate orthodontic concerns. It is suitable for adults, teenagers, and some mature children with all permanent teeth. During your consultation, we’ll assess your oral health, bite alignment, and
smile goals to determine suitability.

Crowded Teeth
Insufficient space in the jaw causes teeth to overlap and twist.
Gaps & Spacing
Unwanted spaces between teeth affecting aesthetics and function.
Overbite / Underbite
Upper or lower teeth extend further than they should.
Open Bite

Upper and lower teeth don’t meet when the jaw is closed.

Crossbite
Upper and lower jaws misalign causing uneven wear.
Orthodontic Relapse
Teeth that have shifted after previous orthodontic treatment.

How long does Invisalign take?

Treatment length varies depending on the complexity of your case. Mild cases using Invisalign GO (our Lite package) can be completed in as little as 3–6 months. More complex cases using Full Invisalign (our Standard package) typically take 12–18 months. Your dentist will give you a personalised timeline during your initial consultation, based on your 3D scan and treatment plan.

Most patients experience mild pressure or discomfort for the first 1–2 days when switching to a new aligner — this is completely normal and indicates the treatment is working. This sensation typically fades quickly as your teeth adjust. Invisalign is generally considered more comfortable than traditional braces as there are no metal brackets or wires to irritate soft tissues.
Invisalign aligners are made from a clear, medical-grade plastic that is virtually invisible when worn. Most people will not notice you’re wearing them during normal conversation or daily activities. Some patients may have small tooth-coloured attachments bonded to certain teeth, but these are also discreet and blend naturally with your teeth.
You should always remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than plain water. This prevents staining, damage to the aligners, and the risk of trapping food or bacteria against your teeth. After eating, rinse your mouth and clean your aligners before reinserting. Remember — aligners need to be worn for 22 hours per day, so minimise the time they’re out.
Contact us as soon as possible. Depending on how far through your current aligner you are, we may advise you to move to the next aligner in the series or go back to the previous one while a replacement is manufactured. Lost aligners can be replaced, though this may incur an additional fee. This is why we recommend always keeping your previous aligner as a backup.
There is no upper age limit for Invisalign — many adults in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond have successfully completed treatment. For younger patients, Invisalign requires all permanent teeth to have erupted, which typically occurs by the mid-to-late teens. Invisalign Teen is a specific product designed for adolescent patients. We’ll assess suitability at your consultation.

Rinse your aligners with lukewarm water every time you remove them. For a more thorough clean, use a soft-bristled toothbrush with clear, non-abrasive soap or the official Invisalign cleaning crystals. Avoid hot water (which can warp the plastic), coloured soaps, or toothpaste (which can scratch the surface and make aligners cloudy). Clean your teeth before reinserting aligners.

Yes — retainers are an essential part of maintaining your Invisalign results long-term. Without retention, teeth have a natural tendency to shift back towards their original positions (called relapse). We include retainers as part of our packages: 1 retainer with Lite and 3 sets with Standard. You’ll wear your retainer full-time initially, then gradually reduce to nighttime-only use.
