All-on-6 uses six implants per arch — typically two at the front, two in the mid-arch, and two at the rear — to create a more evenly distributed support framework for the full-arch restoration. The additional implants reduce the mechanical load on each individual implant, which is particularly beneficial for the upper jaw where bone density is typically lower.
The six-implant approach also provides a degree of redundancy — even if one implant were ever to fail, the remaining five continue to support the arch. This makes All-on-6 the preferred choice for patients who want the highest level of long-term structural confidence, or those with lower bone density in the posterior upper jaw.
